| First, A Word of Thanks. On April 28, 2025, Canadians selected Mark Carney and the Liberal Party to Ottawa to lead our country. The Liberal Party of Canada won the most raw votes across the country in its 158 year history this year, including in Newmarket-Aurora, with a record 29,000+ votes cast for the Liberals. Although we were not successful here at home, we would like to share our sincerest thanks with everyone who knocked on doors, made phone calls, bundled lit, donated, took a lawn sign, and voted for the Liberal Party in this election. Our historic nation-wide results this year would not have been possible without your dedication, commitment, and contributions to our movement. Musician and civil rights activist Wynton Marsalis once said, “we always hear about the rights of democracy, but the major responsibility of it is participation.” You helped us connect with tens of thousands of voters in Newmarket-Aurora, and in doing so, participated in Canadian democracy.
