On February 10th, many East and Southeast Asian communities celebrated the Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, the Tết Holiday, and Seollal.
This past Saturday, I was honoured to join the 108 Health Promotion Association’s (108 HPA) Spring Festival Gala to welcome the Year of the Dragon, which symbolizes good fortune and leadership.
It was a wonderful afternoon watching cultural performances and dances, meeting members of our community, and learning more about the diverse traditions in Newmarket.
I admire 108 HPA for their work to support healthy living for seniors and enable them to live a life of independence. I look forward to their events year-round and am always pleased to support their applications for federal funding.
