Today, we highlight Remembrance Day, a time for us to come together and honour the brave women and men in uniform who served and continue to serve our country.
Across Canada, we vow to never forget the sacrifices members of the Canadian Armed Forces have made and continue to make for our country and our way of life.
We wear red poppies over our hearts to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
In Newmarket-Aurora, both Legions will be hosting events that pay respect to and honour Canada’s veterans, including a parade in Newmarket. I encourage everyone to attend or join Ottawa’s virtual Remembrance Day ceremony on Facebook.
Today, we will observe two minutes of silenec for the brave Canadians who gave their lives to protect our values of peace, freedom, and democracy.
