Tony Van Bynen, Member of Parliament for Newmarket-Aurora, announces around $225,000 in funding for the Uptown Keswick Parkette through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund

Communities flourish when they have the infrastructure to promote social interaction and physical activity.  

That is why, today, Tony Van Bynen, Member of Parliament for Newmarket-Aurora announced $224,980 in funding for the Uptown Keswick Parkette through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF). With this investment, recipients will enhance community infrastructure, and adapt public spaces to support the local economy and the quality of life for residents and visitors in Georgina. 

The CCRF is a $500 million national infrastructure program to revitalize communities across the country. This Fund helps communities build and revitalize assets including pathways in downtown areas, creating new playgrounds, improving accessibility, refurbishing pavilions and sports complexes, and other improvements to bring people together and grow local economies.  

Through these investments, and many more, the Government of Canada is improving the quality of life of Canadians by investing in shared spaces to make them safer, greener and more accessible, while stimulating local economies for a strong future.
