Since 1990, the Aurora Food Pantry has provided food assistance to Aurora and North Oak Ridges residents during their toughest times. As a volunteer-based nonprofit organization with the mission of ensuring no one goes hungry, there’s no doubt that the Aurora Food Pantry plays an essential role in our community.
Volunteers, local organizations, churches, schools and businesses are the backbone of the Aurora Food Pantry. By dedicating their time, sharing their food and providing monetary donations, the organization is able to ensure those in immediate need are served.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen unprecedented numbers of individuals incurring unexpected expenses, illnesses, or other loss of income, and being forced to choose between putting food on the table or paying their bills.
The Aurora Food Pantry has demonstrated immense leadership during these challenging times by implementing operational changes to follow public health guidelines while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of clients, volunteers and employees.
Thank you, Aurora Food Pantry, for ensuring that individuals and families in need in our community don’t go hungry.
